Enroll in our year-long botany study group for an immersive educational experience. By participating in this program, your child will engage in a meticulously structured curriculum focused on enhancing their botanical knowledge and cultivating gardening skills efficiently. The adaptable nature of the study enables you to progress through readings and coursework at your own pace or establish a customized meeting schedule with fellow participants. As our group accommodates families from various locations across the state, the study sessions do not adhere to a fixed weekly venue. Upon enrollment, you will receive a tailored course outline that can be adjusted to meet your family's specific requirements. Participants are encouraged to complete assigned readings independently before each interactive learning session. Throughout the program, theoretical learning will be complemented by practical, hands-on activities in the Tampa Bay area and occasional field trips across Florida. The primary aim of this initiative is to facilitate home-based learning at a pace that suits your family, culminating in group education days where students can observe professionals applying theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios. Anticipate engaging in 1-2 curriculum-aligned field trips each month. Please be advised that the expenses related to the field trips and necessary supplies are not covered in the membership fee. Participants must be registered as members of the Florida Explorers in order to be a part of this year-long study. Further details and registration is set to open in mid to late June.
