Selby Gardens Book Club & Field Day In Sarasota Florida 

October 11, 2024  - 10:30 - 2:30 

Field Day Registration Includes: 

  • Admission to Shelby Gardens Downtown Sarasota Campus 

  • Guided activities and tour from 10:30 - 12:30 Including:
     

    • Lesson on Bromeliads and Bromeliad Tank Lab  

    • Guided Leaf Lesson & Lab 

    • Book Club Meeting & Craft Activity at 1:15

    • Self Guided Tour of Orchid Festival & Gardens Until Gardens Close 

    • Book Club Activity Kit Includes

      • Copy of the Book " The Secret Garden" By Frances Hodgson Burnett

      • Extra large literary poster 

      • Literary Study 

      • All attending adults require an admission ticket , adult admission at the door is $28.00 plus tax. Children ages 4 and under do not require an admission ticket to enter Selby Gardens. However, all children participating in the guided tour and labs are required to pay for class.

  • Siblings who are not participating in the book club but would like to attend the Field portion of this event will need to purchase a Field Day Ticket For $20.00. Please take care to make the appropriate selections when registering in the cart. 
  • Families with younger siblings or siblings who are 4 and under who are not participating in the class are asked not to stay with the group. Participants not staying with the group may explore the gardens and Orchid Festival. This is not a drop off class , each participating student must have a designated responsible chaperone which stays with the group. Parents will need to coordinate picking up their student when the class ends with their designated chaperone. Please plan on arriving 15-20 minutes early to check in with an administrator.

Registration will close Friday October 4th or once capacity is reached of 40 students.

Please make the proper registration selections for each member in your family. 

Payment is due immediately upon registration  

  • Book Club & Class at Selby Gardens $65.00 - Includes everything the day has to offer 1 student 

  • Adult Admission $20.00 - Is a discounted ticket rate for chaperones  

  • Sibling Field Trip Registration $20.00 - For siblings attending class from 10:30- 12:30 at Selby Gardens not participating in the book club. (children ages 17 and under and attending but not participating in the field trip tour and activities may purchase a regular admission at the gate.) 

  • Sibling Field Trip & Book Club Craft $30.00 - For siblings attending the Field trip and participating in the book club meeting & craft but not needing their own full curriculum kit with literature poster and guides.  

 

Please Note: Book Club registration events or curriculum kits are non-refundable. In cases where cancellation becomes necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, you may submit a request for consideration. While we strive to accommodate such requests and offer partial refunds, please note that this cannot be guaranteed. Cancelations requested before the registration deadline may be made excluding processing fees.
